Where Jia is the trunk, Yi is the vine that climbs it: adaptable, graceful, quietly resourceful. Yi people survive by bending, reading a room before speaking in it, and finding the gap in the wall rather than pushing through it. That flexibility makes natural diplomats and networkers. The cost is a habit of indecision and a need for structures to climb; without a trellis, the vine spreads sideways instead of up.
