All ten day masters
BaZi day master 日主

Guǐ

Yin Water · The morning rain

Gui is water in its quietest form: mist, dew, rain soaking in unseen. Gui people absorb more than they show, work through patience and subtlety rather than force, and read undercurrents that louder people never notice. It is the most inward of the ten, suited to listening, strategy, and healing. The quiet can deepen into secrecy, and the rich inner life into a room nobody else is ever quite allowed to enter.

The element

Water (yin)

flow, intelligence, depth

Its twin

Rén

Same element, opposite polarity: the open water.

How Guǐ relates to the other elements

Fed by Metal

金 Metal is this day master's Resource 印: learning, backing, recovery.

Feeds Wood

木 Wood is its Output 食伤: expression, craft, and what it produces.

Directs Fire

火 Fire is its Wealth 财: opportunity and resources worked for.

Directed by Earth

土 Earth is its Officer 官杀: structure, duty, and pressure.

Whether each relation helps or drains depends on the whole chart: a strong Guǐ benefits from being worked; a weak one from being fed. The calculator makes that call with the method disclosed.
