Enneagram vs 16-type

The most common mix-up in personality testing. The 16-type system describes how your mind prefers to work: where energy comes from, how information lands, how decisions get made. The Enneagram ignores all of that and asks what you are afraid of, and what strategy you built to manage the fear. One maps the machine; the other maps the driver.

The honest verdict

Take the 16-type test when the question is about work style, communication, or career fit. Take the Enneagram when the question is why you keep repeating a pattern you already know is a pattern. They disagree less often than people think, because they are rarely talking about the same thing.

FourLens describes work style for development, onboarding, and communication. It is a self-report tool, not a clinical instrument, and it is not designed to screen candidates or score performance. The 16-type code uses Jungian dichotomies and is not affiliated with The Myers-Briggs Company; DISC content follows Marston's model and is not affiliated with Everything DiSC.
